●   The change of service takes place after 5 points have been scored. A point is normally awarded when the play of a service is concluded. The receiver then becomes the server and the server becomes receiver, and so on, after each 5 points until the end of the game or the score is 20-all. Whenever the score becomes 20-all, the receiver becomes the server and the server the receiver, and so on after each point until the end of the game.
●   At the start of a new game, the player who served first in the previous game becomes receiver and the receiver becomes server and so on, alternating after each game.
●   The players exchange ends after each game, and if play consists of more than one game, in the deciding game of the match the players change ends when one player reaches a score of 10 points.
●   A game is won by the player who first scores 21 points with a 2-point margin.
●   A match consists of the best two (2) of three (3) games.

●   A good service is delivered by projecting the ball from the free hand, which must start from above the playing surface. The ball must be resting in the palm of the free hand. The ball is tossed into the air.
●   As it starts to descend, the ball is struck so that it touches the server’s court first and then, passing directly over or around the net, touches the receiver’s court. At the instant of contact of the racquet on the ball in service, both handle and ball must be behind the end line of the server’s court.
●   A good return of a served ball must be struck by the receiver on the first bounce so that it passes directly over or around the net and touches directly on top of the opponent’s court.

Failure to make a good serve also scores a point for the opponent unless it is a let.

● the ball is not served out.
●   A serve that does not comply with Rule 4 is a fault and the receiver wins the rally. Note: A serve that hits the service-line, or the short-line, or the half-court line, or any line bounding the top of the court, is a fault.
●   A let is allowed if the receiver is not ready to return the serve and does not attempt to do so. However, if that serve is a fault, the server loses the rally.

● if the striker had not turned but was making a further attempt , a let is allowed;
● if the striker had turned , a stroke is awarded to the non-striker, unless the non-striker made a deliberate movement to intercept the ball, in which case, a stroke is awarded to the striker.

Squash

Squash is a ball sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles squash) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players must alternate in striking the ball with their racquet and hit the ball onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court.
The game was formerly called squash rackets, a reference to the "squashable" soft ball used in the game (compared with the harder ball used in its sister game rackets).

Rules & Regulations

●   The game is played with one cue ball and 15 numbered object balls.
●   The balls are racked in a triangle at the foot of the table with the 8-ball in the centre of the triangle, the first ball of the rack on the footspot, a stripe ball in one corner of the rack and a solid ball in the other corner, as the above illustrations shows.
The object of the game is to make one group of numbered object balls, either stripes or solids, and then LEGALLY POCKET THE 8-BALL which then wins the game.
●   If it is the first game in a match, a coin should be tossed to decide who gets to choose whether to break. After that, the break is taken in turns.
●   To make a legal break, the player must hit the balls and ensure that four balls hit cushions and that the cue ball doesn’t go down a pocket. If the 8-ball is potted on the break, the player is entitled to ask for a re-rack.
●   The first player to pot an object ball will then have to continue to pot the balls from that category (stripes or solids). The opposition player will have to pot the other group.
●   A player will continue to make shots until they foul, or fail to pot an object ball. Then it is the turn of the opposing player. Play continues like this for the remainder of the game.
●   If a player commits a foul, the opposition player is entitled to place the cue ball anywhere on the table. There are numerous fouls in pool, some of the most common being:
● Failing to hit your own object balls.
● Hitting the cue ball off the table.
● Potting one of the opposition's object balls.
● Hitting the cue ball twice.
● Pushing the cue ball rather than striking it.
● A player taking a shot when it is not their turn.
●   Once all of a player’s balls have been potted, they must then sink the 8 ball. They must first designate which pocket they intend to pot the 8-ball in and then do as stated. Failure to do so will result in the opposition player returning to the table. If the player pots the 8 ball in any other pocket other than the nominated one, they forfeit the game.
●   The pattern of the tournament will be decided on the basis of number of registrations. (best of 3/5 frames)
●   The registration fee per person is Rs 150.
●   In case of any dispute, the final decision lies in the hand of the coordinator.
